This review is a little long, but if you're a bride, planning a wedding, you want to know the details. Let me tell you, having a bomb hair and makeup team makes your day so special and takes away a lot of stress. The best part of your wedding is that you get to marry your soulmate surrounded by those you love. The second best part is finding your vendors and establishing relationships with them. They are the ones that make the details of your vision come true. For me, one of the harder searches was for makeup. My fiance had never seen me wear makeup and I knew I wanted to wear it for the most photographed day of our lives. We are engineers, we live off grid in a short bus we converted together, and we were getting married at the Lairmont Manor where you cant quite wear overalls at the altar. I wanted to match the elegance of the day but was also intimidated when searching Pinterest for "bridal makeup" trying to find a look I wanted to go with. I also needed someone who had a team that was able to handle all of my bridesmaids, bridesman, flower ladies, mother, MIL, and Gram. Enter Beauty by Elizabeth Marie. When I found her online, I read something in her write up that stuck with me - she loves all things pretty and loves making sure freckles are highlighted and can shine through if they're wanted. I emailed her (a super long word vomit, really) about what I was looking for, my (very slight but still very real) anxieties about my future husband seeing me with makeup at our first look, and in her response I just knew she was the person for me. I went to her three times for getting my makeup done and trialed. I used her for my engagement photos, boudoir photos, and another time just for fun when getting my hair trial (with Brooklyn!) to make sure I looked like what I envisioned myself as a bride. I also got a facial from her and lets be serious- your face will never thank you more than letting Elizabeth work her fingers on it. By the time the big day came around getting my makeup done was like getting to chat with a friend who had the perfect soothing excited energy for that moment. While getting my makeup done was when I actually realized I was getting married.  Elizabeth has this incredible way of making you feel calm, reassured, and almost protected from the external pressures of being a bride. Then you see yourself all done up you can't help but feel confident and ready to take on the entire day. She also can do wonders for your under eye bags, which is one less thing to stress over. The only guidelines I gave her was I wanted everyone to have a natural beauty about themselves and an updo. Each person got to select colors for their eye makeup and what they were comfortable with for their hair. Her team was quick and efficient rotating through my group of nine. She even got to my bridesman, which really made my bridal party look cohesive and feel their best on such a beautiful day. Having everyone select the colors they were comfortable with and their hair style gave everyone their own flair without it feeling or looking too controlled or structured. Looking back on the day, even if I had a small wedding in a backyard (or even if we eloped!) I would have still wanted Elizabeth and her team do our hair and makeup. She can match any formality of occasion and make you and your party feel incredible. The hair and makeup starts the day with everyone feeling their best. It really sets the perfect tone for your perfect day! When choosing Elizabeth you can rest assured you're going to look flawless and feel your best. Do You do Both Hair and Makeup?

Yes! Our bridal team is specifically trained and has years of experience in bridal makeup and styling!

What Exactly is Airbrushing?

Airbrushing is a specialized makeup application used for years by makeup artists for red carpet events and high end photo shoots. This technique is perfect for creating natural, flawless, durable, photo perfect skin. The bridal team artists are trained in several airbrush techniques. Because of this specialty, we only offer this style of foundation.

-Your skin will look perfect and fresh throughout the entire event regardless of the heat, humidity, or how much dancing you do!

Do You Apply Fake Lashes?

Every makeup package includes a set (of your choosing) from a wide range of lashes.

How Should I Prepare My Face For Makeup Application?

On the day of, a clean, moisturized face is all you need to worry about, leave the rest to us! If you would like a little more homework, a dermaplaning facial is brilliant prep for airbrush makeup.

How Should I Prepare My Hair for Styling?

All we ask is your hair has been washed within the last 24 hours and that it is completely dry! If you have natural curls you would love to work with, please follow your regular curl routine.

Do You Travel?

Yes! All travel within Whatcom County is included, travel fees apply outside county lines. Contact us for details about travel rates!

How Do We Book You?

For all bridal work, a contract, deposit, and 4 person minimum (4 styles, 4 makeups, OR 4 styles & 4 makeups.) is required to secure your date. These are to protect your interests as well as our team. Please fill out the bridal form HERE and we will be touch shortly!

For anything else, just shoot us a email!

I’m still confused about the minimum, how does it work?

We require a 4 service minimum for each hair and makeup team (or the cost equivalent to) to come on location. Here are some examples of what that looks like!

Service minimum fulfilled could look like -
Bridal makeup + 3 makeup services = on location
Bridal styling + 3 styling services = on location
Bridal hair and makeup + 3 hair services and 3 makeup services = on location

Service minimum NOT fulfilled could look like -
Bridal styling + 3 makeup services = not on location
2 people, both getting styling and makeup = not on location
Bridal styling and makeup + 2 styling services = not on location
Bridal hair + 2 styling services + 1 flower girl styling = not on location

Couple of notes! Yes the bride counts towards the 4, no, a flower girl service does not count. Weekday elopements do not have a service minimum.
